Chris established Akelian Productions in 1998 and since then has steadily developed it as a producer in various media including photography, high end retouching, prepress, video editing and production services for creative professionals in the photography, advertising and design industries. Clients include local, national and international photographers, designers and ad agencies that have come to expect professional and dedicated services for their projects.

As a natural extension, Akelian Productions is able to offer advice and consultation on matters ranging from technical expertise and aesthetic choices in the pre- and post-production phases of still photo shoots, to technical recommendations on software and hardware options relating to
digital photography and computer equipment.

Chris’ background in photography and an interest in computers (and generally most things electronic) have contributed to his passion for finding solutions to clients’ demands based on efficiency and productivity. Chris’ other interest, philosophy, compels him to consider the bigger picture and approach problem solving from simple yet effective perspectives.

Chris holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Massachusetts, graduated from the New England School of Photography, and has studied Exhibition Design at the Corcoran College of Art + Design in Washington DC. Chris’ images have appeared in print and online in acclaimed publications such as VM+SD, Inspiration Press and Trend Jewely Forcasting. More recently, multi-page spreads of Chris’ work have been published in the hardcover book Forefront: The Culture of Shop Window Design by FRAME and Birkhauser as well as in Visual Merchandising 5 by VM+SD and ST Media Group International Inc.

In addition to his professional work, Chris’ fine art works have been exhibited in group and solo shows in the greater Boston area; most notably at the Harbor Gallery at the University of Massachusetts in Boston and the Pierre Menard Gallery in Cambridge MA.
